SSP’s starch and derivatives processing plant represents a sophisticated amalgamation of precision and innovation, meticulously engineered to transform maize into a diverse array of high-quality products.
In the maize cleaning section, foreign materials are meticulously removed from the grains through a selective airflow aspiration system, ensuring optimal purity. Subsequently, the maize undergoes a steeping process to soften the kernels, vital for optimal milling and product separation. This process, lasting between 48 to 60 hours at a controlled temperature, imbues the maize with the necessary properties for further processing.
The de-germing, germ washing, and germ drying section employ advanced techniques to separate and dry the germ portion with minimal breakage. Additionally, the corn steeped liquor concentration section utilizes a multiple-stage evaporator under vacuum to concentrate the corn steeped liquor efficiently. The resulting product, with a 50% concentration, can be mixed with fiber and sold as cattle feed.
Further downstream, the starch and gluten separation section employs a primary separator for the main separation, with subsequent processes focusing on thickening and drying the gluten. The hydro-cyclone washing and drying section ensures the refinement of starch slurry, removing soluble and insoluble impurities to produce purified starch milk. This milk is then dewatered and dried using spin flash dryers, yielding high-quality starch powder suitable for various applications.
SSP’s starch and derivatives processing plant epitomizes excellence in starch processing technology, offering efficient and sustainable solutions for a wide range of industrial applications.
